Mondeo engine in mk6 transit 2.0 tdci 125ps

Featured Replies

Evening all,

probably posted this in the wrong section but I'm sure someone will point me in the right direction.

i have 53 plate transit swb 2.0 tdci 125ps. I bought it as a non runner with believed to be injectors nakered. Managed to start it with easy start but it sounded awful. Done the leak off test and all four filled up very fast. Cut a long story short I have gave up looking for a set of replacement injectors at a reasonable price so looking at fitting a mondeo engine as I can get one cheap.

the engine I can get is the 130ps tdci so am I right in thinking that this should fit and as long as I can read the codes from injectors then I can code them in.

Anyone else done this swap?

cheers

theoretically yes, you could could them, however, changing an entire engine, just to avoid changing injectors? that is extreme! not recommended, as trust me, wiring harness replacements atop the hardware replacements, labour, parts, you might as well just give up now....
