Focus 1.6 Ecoboost induction kit?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a company that makes/sells an induction kit for a Focus 1.6 Ecoboost 180?

I've had a look around and can't seem to find one anywhere.

ST air box and de snorkel (if it's got one) will allow more air in.

That's what mountune fit for the mp200 kit.

Might not make much difference to noise if that what you are after though.

As above plus K&N E-9289 filter will give you the best of both worlds. It has a removable bung on the side to give you some induction noise and blow off hiss (like a mini dumpvalve) without the much debated heatsoak issues with open cone filters (I am still waiting to see actual proof on that one!). I have the K&N on my 182 and the difference was instantly noticeable, the car feels like its being strangled if you drop a standard filter back in.

Its the filter out of the 57s-4000 kit. The only difference is youre not paying an extra hundred odd quid for a lid with a K&N logo.

Then there is this option available now too!

Thats all i did. I keep an eye out for an ST box and i will get one if one comes up cheap enough as it has an additional cold air feed but still looks factory fitted in the Zetec S to those that dont know what they are looking at. You can get the filter cheaper again without the removable bung but i like the noise!!! Its an E-2993 for the standard K&N filter.
