Well been driving the Edge for 3 weeks now and covered 2000 miles getting between 40 & 45 mpg which is impressive however had to turn lane keeping down to mimimum setting driving me mad wish I could turn it off ! As for collision alert again turned down to minimum and I have put black tape over that dam anoying strip of red leds on the dash why? Every time a car overtakes and cuts in on the motorway you are dazzled by those stupid lights especially at night or cars coming up the slip road especially the CIA cars who bully their way in.

Ford if you are reading these comments its a great good looking car but please give us an option to turn these idiotic gadgets off for instance

Hill start turned off

Active dip turned off

So why not let us turn off the rest of the useless driving aids

isnt there a switch at the end of the indicator stork to turn of the lane departure warning I think you have to do it every time you start the car

Paper price was £42k fully loaded I got a Ford discount - I could have got a discovery sport for the same price

Anything you like about the car?

Never really been a fan of Ford vehicles from the last car (Scorpio Ghia) dreadfull car that was and it tainted me for years. Took delivery of a Kuga Titanium X 3 years ago as we are now only allowed Ford, Vauxhall or Renault but it was ok but not great. From all of the hype that Ford projected with the Edge and not being able to get a test drive (company fleet politics) I took the plunge for another 3 years and ordered the Edge as I wanted another vehicle that had ground clearance and all wheel drive. Well its a good looking car but the finnish is poor, their is a rattle coming from the front passenger door, fuel sloshing about in the tank, rear door is flimsy,  lights appalling and the rear boot cover too low to get any decent kit in and remain covered.I carry around £25-30k of equipment around and would like it covered at all times. If we could run our own vehicles like the last company I worked for I would have gone for another Nissan Navara which was a terrific vehicle. I fail to see how Ford think thst the edge will tempt people from BMW, AUDI or LAND ROVER so the answer to you question no
