Fuel pump continuous priming sound when key is turned?

Hi I'm new to the forum and was looking for some help so thought this might be the best place to ask,

My car is a ford focus mk2 2005 1.6 petrol, when you turn the ignition the fuel pump usually makes a noise for a a few seconds then turns off but now my car seems to have a continuous fuel pump sound that doesn't go off, a few times is been been ok but most of the time now it's like this, I just wanted to know if anyone knew what this might be or if it's anything to worry about? The car runs ok atm.
