Engine overheating.

Hi guys, first time posting and needing some help. I'll try keep it short.

I have a MK6 Fiesta 1.3 Duratec. Noticed a small crack in coolant reservoir the other day so have a new one on order, no biggie.

Here's the real problem, driving my car today and it decides to overheat. Get home let it cool down and went to check the reservoir and coolant came pouring out.

Went on another little run to check the car again overheated again. Have checked about and seems to be the thermostat but not 100% any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if it is the thermostat where exactly is it located/how easy to change?
