2.0 TDCi - 2004 - C Max problems

Hi All,

I have an issue with my 2004 2.0TDCi C Max....

The car will randomly go into limp mode and cut the power. When this happens I get 3 errors:

U1900 - CAN communication bus fault

P0691 - Cooling fan 1 control circuit malfunction

P0047 - Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid Circuit Low

With this in mind I booked it in to the local garage and they checked out the Turbo etc and advised there was no issue, it was electrical.

I then booked the car in with an Auto electrician a few days later. During this time the car started to run fine, then into limp mode and fine again.

When it was dropped off at the Auto electrician they read the fault codes and advised nothing is wrong with it, it needs to go to a garage.

Now the codes when the car is running fine are:

P0691 - Cooling fan 1 control circuit malfunction

P0047 - Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid Circuit Low

Now this is what the Auto electrician came up with.

SO, I'm guessing that the issue here is:

Code: U1900 - CAN communication bus fault

Status:
 - Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
 - Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Module: Instrument Cluster

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

CAN Communication Bus Fault - Receive Error

Note:

DTCs that start with 'U' are faults which occur during module-to-module communication.

Modules should never be replaced based only on a 'U' code. These codes do not always indicate a problem, and can be caused by normal diagnostic functions, carried out on the vehicle.

Any help or advice appreciated!!! - I have attached a full txt document of all the faults.
