Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have recently been having a problem with the central locking. The car locks and unlocks ok but when i walk upto the car it unlocks without pressing the key !!!! not always, but then i can be driving down the road and the doors can lock and then unlock. I have changed the batter in the Key. just wondered if you could shed any light on this for me.

Many thanks Dan

Maybe you should have your central locking software checked and reinstalled if necessary through the ECU.

This is a common fault on some MkII Mondeos, maybe you've got a faulty solenoid?

Get it checked by an auto electrician or a Ford main dealer to investigate (won't be cheap, but it might prevent an easy theft or even worse, stop you getting locked in!)

:)
