Fiesta zetec s tdci turbo pipe.

Featured Replies

Good afternoon. Apologies if I've posted in the wrong place.

I've recently purchased a fiesta zetec s tdci 56 reg and it seems a little under powered. (Having changed from a skoda fabia vrs 04 reg)

Now I understand that there is a difference in engine size and bhp but the fiesta seems a little flat.

Upon a little look under the bonet I noticed a little oil spray under the turbo pipe (from air box to turbo) where it attaches to the turbo.

I removed the pipe to have a look and the rubber insert is split right the way through.

My question is... would this cause enough of an air leak to cause the reduced boost and anyone know where I can buy one.

I'm not absolutely convinced there is a lack of boost its just that the skoda seemed like a rocket ship compared to this. It pushed me back into the seat whereas I get very little torque from the fiesta.

Any hints and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Kieran
