Car juddering between 1500-2500 revs

Featured Replies

New here so please bare with me. Hopefully I'm posting in the right place?

I currently own a 2002 Fiesta Finesse 1.3 petrol. Last week it went for it's annual MOT to which it had to have a few problems fixed. No surprise with the age of the car. All wear and tear so not too bad. However on Friday my engine management light came on after stalling the car. Car seemed alright and didn't feel any change in driving. Got almost a few miles from home and the car started juddering changing up gears. Haven't used the car all weekend since this problem occurred. Came to use it for work this morning and it's still juddering, mostly between 1500 - 2500 revs. Been told to use some petrol system cleaner in it and take it for a blast up the motorway and back to see if that helps. Failing that does anyone have an inkling as to what it might be causing the juddering before I take it to the garage for costly diagnostics checks?

Thanks in advance... any help greatly received.
