I've had my Edge back at the dealer because the hands free tailgate only opens about 2/3. You then have to push it to open fully. Resetting it using the button does nothing. The problem is proving a real headache because I keep forgetting to duck!

The dealer can't get it to programme to fully open ether and has phoned to say Ford are aware of the problem and are 'working on it'. Hmmm...  Anyone else's car do this and better still, has anyone found a solution?

    I don't have this option on my car due to it's age but just a thought as i don't know if you've tried this as i wondered if while the boot was in the half open position after using the hands free lock the car again still leaving the boot half open then try the hands free again to see if it goes up all the way and if it does try the reset again as this does work on reseting the Focus power windows so thought it's worth a try mate ..

    Many thanks for the tip! Sadly it didn't work, but was definitely worth the try...

    Your welcome mate and sorry it didn't work but yea it was worth a shot and fingers crossed it won't be too long before the issue is ressolved and it will be interesting to find out what the remedy is lol .
