Under Seat/Boot Sub

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone know if I can connect a sub to the stock stereo and if I can do something cleaver like sticking on under one of the front seats or in the side in the boot.

Don't want to loose boot space.

Any ideas would be great to hear.

Depends on what system you have. In mine out of the factory I have a 10 speaker system one of those being a sub mounted in the centre of the spare wheel.

Makes difference to the overall sound when adjusted i.e bass set at +3, but I'm not sure what the crossover frequency is tuned to as that can't be adjusted.

I have an Alpine underseat subwoofer. I used an RCA line adaptor which needs 12v power, earth , phono leads to go to sub & feed from rear speakers. I think too of my head. I've had this running since a while. I also have updated speakers . Fusion components & tweeters.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone put a sub in a run it off the standard head unit? Just want to know what the sound is like and if there is enough power. Also need to know how I would wire it in.
