Driver handle and revs on MK 1 Focus

Wondered if anyone had the same problems im experiencing.

 

The driver side door handle is sticking and only works if I really pull hard on it but doesent always work so have to go through passenger side?

 

SInce putting a new battery in my car the revs stay high when idle until I take out of gear or lift the clutch has anyone had this problem?
