Hi.. The tabs on h7 bulbs in the headlights should they be at the top or bottom?

    off the top of my head i cannot remember but i`m sure the bulb will only fit in one way

    That is correct

    One thing I do when I'm faced with an awkward bulb change and you can't see which way it's come out is to look at the other side through the lense and compare it with your new bulb - you can work out the orientation.

    Well I had one where the tab was at the bottom and was in so hence the question as I have a weird v shaped pattern no matter what bulbs I use.

    have you checked the other h7 bulb on your car to see how that was fitted

    Tbh have change bulbs so much I have lost track lol was just determining the correct position to see if that's the issue with the v shaped beam pattern.
