Hiding wires!

Featured Replies

Hi all, just looking for some advice, I'm fitting a new stereo next weekend, and I think I'm going to need to run some wires from the back of the unit to the A pillar (driver or passenger side), what's the easiest way to feed the wires behind the dash? I've got a 2011 Focus mk3, thanks in advance x

The easiest way is by removing the side dashboard panel at the passenger side and the glove box.

The side dashboard panel is clipped and can be released using some appropriate force. The glove box is both screwed and clipped. After the 5 screws (2 on top (inside) the glove box, 2 at the bottom and 1 at the side) are removed the glove box can be released by pulling it out gently. Next you can release the dashboard light connector.

After the side panel and glove box are removed there is more than enough space to feed the wires through and secure them onto the existing wiring or dashboard frame.
