ESP symbol lit

Featured Replies

Focus 2008 hatch 1.8 petrol. Just noticed that the ESP (stability program) symbol has lit up, showing steadily. Owners handbook is confusing, (no surprise there), says it should flash when ESP is operating and if it comes on when driving to have it checked immediately. To be honest I haven't noticed any change whatsoever in the handling. Advice  appreciated, please.

Have you got an elm cable and forscan or someone near you with one? You need to find out why it's putting the light on.

First things first though, have you got an ESP button (and if you have, is it off), and two, check your dash menu, mine has an ESP option which you can check (with a cross) which means it turns it off, and unchecked it means ESP is available.
