What should the labour costs be on this roughly ?

Featured Replies

I've booked my 2008 1.8 petrol Titanium in for a full service at a local garage who have a good reputation in the area, i'm also getting them to change the front discs and pads.

I'm supplying all the parts, it's basically the labour costs of a full service including pollen filter change, their full service includes includes a full health check including belts, electrics and to make sure all the switches are working etc, and to change the front pads and discs.

What would be fair labour costs ?

My local garage charges around £40 per hour,I think that's a fair rate.👍🏻

around an hours work for all the jobs you need doing £40 to £50 an hour is about right

I've been quoted £156 for the labour.

That's more than an hours labour lol.

Is £156 on the high side just for labour ? Apparently their full service includes diagnostic checks, belt checks, basically a full health check + the fitting of the discs and pads.

A full service includes more than everyone thinks. It's not just changing the filters.

What is their hourly rate?

Their rates are apparently £45 per hour + VAT, they have a good reputation in the area, just thought it was a bit on the high side but i guess it all depends on what they are doing for that. It's £156 inclusive of VAT for the labour.

Sounds about right to me. You could pay £150 at halfords for a service lol.
