Bought a set of these bulbs for tail/brakes and they don't light up as the normal lights but only when I press the brakes. I can move it around in the holder and it will come on and go off again in certain positions. Do you think a load resistor would make it work?

Hi sounds more of a location issue to me I only had to use a load resistor on my indicator led bulbs as they flashed too quickly. I have used a led bulb as well on my stop light but it's a single filament bulb  as I changed my standard rear light for the st style where the tail light is already led

Its annoying was all happy when they came to find they don't work lol

You could always treat yourself to a set of led rear lights of Ebay then fit the led indicators and brake light which will be a single filament type
