Can anyone plz tell me if the 1.8 Zetec S engines are any good. The age I'm looking at is an 09 plate ?? .  Many thanks 

I've been told they are better than the 1.6 which I have and if I remember correctly you get the 18" alloys as standard in a way I wish I'd gone down that route but I liked the colour of mine. The zetec s is good for modifying though.

I've got a 55 plate 1.6 Zetec climate at the mo. Do you mean they are good for putting extras on like better lights and things or interior modification? 

Yes you can fit st/rs rear led lights, drl in the fog light covers. Fit clear rear fog lights. Take a look at Lenny.s tutorial's they are very good that's where I got my ideals from plus he is a top bloke and always ready to give advice. 

I've a 1.8 titanium which is the same engine as the Zetec S and doing research before I brought it, the recommendation was to avoid the 1.4 and 1.6 and go for the 1.8 or 2.0.

I test drive both a 1.6 and a 1.8 and found the 1.8 a lot quicker
