Brake pedal required to start car after new clutch fitted

Featured Replies

I've just had a new clutch fitted along with dual mass flywheel and i now need to press clutch pedal AND brake pedal to start the car. Before hand it was just the clutch and press the start button

Also the Auto Stop/Start button is permanently Off.

Any ideas why this might be?

Has the garage missed something when fitting the new clutch or does it need a dealer reset?

Thanks

It sounds like something in the engine computer has been disturbed, possibly if they disconnected the battery.

I'd just go back to the garage and tell them what is happening.  They should put it back to the condition it was in when you first handed the keys to them.  If you wait too long or try to do anything yourself then they may reject responsibility for the issue and refuse to fix it.
