Effingfocus99
Hi all, hopefully someone on here can help me out. February 2016 I wrote off my beloved focus by ploughing into a stag roe deer.馃槶聽Me and my father spent most of the summer putting her back together and getting her聽back on the road馃敡馃敤. Last week I serviced the car and noticed when i replaced聽my air filter there was a huge hole in the bottom of the housing....it was only the air intake pipe completely missing!!! I believe it got destroyed when I hit the deer. The problem I have is trying to identify something I don't have haha. I've been searching the net all week for the correct pipe/hose but no-one seems to know exactly what pipe it is as there are a few different types. My local mech seems to think it was a hard plastic pipe which shattered on impact with the deer as he said a soft rubber one would of split and bent and parts of it would of been left intact whereas I have nothing atall. 1st pic is the filter housing from underneat the car the other 2 are of damage caused by deer

Effingfocus99
Even if someone could take a look under there focus for me to see what pipe they have would be just as good 馃槉

As you can see its snapped off something but I don't no what.
Effingfocus99
聽Just been under the car and seen this.... it's hard to see but this sits just above the front of the front passenger wheel and I believe it runs down the wing? 聽
Kawasaki kid
Your car comes back as a 1.6 Duratec on the etis site can do you not have a dismantlers or dealers near you to obtain the parts you need.
JW1982
Based on the pictures the air resonator box seems to be missing. The resonator box is basically a labyrinth which prevents water and large debris from being sucked into the air filter housing. Another function of the resonator box is to dampen/silencing the induction sound.
