4-electric windows (comfort windows) are completely different from the standard 2-electric windows. The standard 2-electric windows are controlled conventionally using switches and relays. The 4-electric windows are controlled digitally by the door modules and CANbus system. If you want to close the windows using the alarm system you have to send the correct command through the CANbus system to the door modules.

The 4-electric windows (comfort windows) do have the global opening/closing system as standard. The windows can be opened/closed by long pressing the open/close button of the keyfob.

so take it if the window modules don't work then the central locking want work on a aftermarket alarm

On a Higher spec Focus MK2/MK2.5 the central locking system is also controlled digitally by the door modules and CANbus system. Only the tailgate lock and the fuel flap lock (MK2 only) are directly controlled by the GEM module/fuse box.

If you want to control the central locking with an aftermarket alarm there are still possibilities. You can use an aftermarket CANbus alarm system that sends the correct command to the door modules. If you already have a non CANbus alram system you can also connect the control wires of the alarm directly between the door modules and door locks. However this means that you have to run wires to each lock of the car which is a hell of a job.

You can also install the original factory fitted CANbus alarm system. This is usually cheaper than a decent aftermarket alarm system. The original alarm system of the Focus MK2/MK2.5 is fully integrated in/controlled by the GEM module/fuse box and uses sensors, switches and wiring that (most times) is already present. To retrofit the original alarm system you only need to install a new bonnet lock (with integrated switch), a new interior light (with integrated ultrasonic sensors and a horn (standard perimeter alarm system) or a battery backed up sounder (Thatcham alarm system). A higher spec vehicle like a Ghia or Titanium usually has all wiring already in place. On lower spec vehicles is may be needed to install some (minor) additional wiring.

thanks for the reply my car as a factory Thatcham alarm system ie ultrasonics and battery backed up sounder. i would like for the central locking to lock the doors automatically when exiting the car ie passive arm plus shut the windows witch the factory alarm cant do . As i understand this i have a choice the easy way buy a can-bus alarm witch are not cheap or the harder way but cheap is to fit a blip alarm that uses the factory alarm fobs and run 3 wires to each door
