Hi all, we have a intermittent problem, put the car in park, and the lever refuses to move to drive etc, i was unable to go an look and my friend took to garge who said gearbox,cable & lever are ok .... but when its stuck you have to force the lever to move.

I know it will need at time of problem the gerabox tunnel removed and the operating lever on the box inspected for anything stoping movement etc.

Also gearbox fluid change may help but i will be getting the car pluged into a diag machine to check for any possible auto box code issues.

Has anyone else come across this sympton before ?, the next time it happens i will be doing the simple checks, brake lights and looking round lever etc, but any pointers you have will be greatly appreaited, cheers Andy
