Getting a dent out of my Focus

No idea how it was caused. Just came out of my house one day and saw it. Didn't catch the little bugger who did it therefore any costs will have to be met by me.

Just wondering roughly how much would it cost for a garage to just get the dent out? I got a quote from AutoRestore Ltd for the whole repair at £358. This is just too much for the age of this car. It's in very good condition and this really spoils it.

It would seem that using a plunger or specialist suction device would not work on this type of dent.

Can or should I knock it out with a rubber mallet? Will it be possible to remove the trim from inside and do this with a Focus 1.6LX 2005 model? I've never done it before so I don't know if it's just a case of giving it a good whack!

Thanks very much and hope you can help.

specialist job:sad:

I know someone relatively cheap and decent in Enfield if that's any good to you...
