Any difference in Mk2 focus headlamps ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can someone please advise me on the following....I have a 1.6 LX Mk 2 year 2005 and it has the chrome style headlamps.

I was thinking of replacingthem with the black style as one is broken and needs replacing anyway.

Is it a swap without mofifications and which throws out the more light....black or chrome ?

Many Thanks

If it's just a difference in housing colour then there will be no difference in output as they'll use the same reflectors.

Only the bi-xenons would chuck out more light.

Thank you,

So the fitment would be exactly the same ? (non bi-xenons)

yup, mk2 and mk2.5 are different, but within the two types, the fitment is all the same, xenons require a different harness and a bunch of other stuff but the black and silver versions are identical

Yep plugs are the same as long as you get  mk2 headlights non xenon as mk2.5 (facelift) are different
