hello my girlfriends 1.25 fiesta 2005 hasn't been idling. I changed all plugs and cool and even put a throttle body on but still no joy. 

However today I just happened to take the vacuum pipe off the bottom of the fuel pressure reg valve and the car ticks over brilliantly. As soon as I put it back onto the regulator or put my finger over it it cuts out. 

Does that mean the reg is at fault, the main fuel filter must be slightly blocked or something else. 

Any help would be appreciated
