Hi guys, hope your enjoying the hot weather.

On Saturday I had a strange noise coming from my mk2 1.8 tdci focus, if I rev the engine and let it settle I can hear the turbo whine down quite loud, it's hard to hear on the video but loud in the car with Windows open.

If I drive the car while on boost (70mph then put my foot down) I can hear this in the cab as well like a little whine.

I have delt with Ford's many times and thought it's most likely a split boost hose so today I took all pipes off to check them and gues what, they are all fine.

If I start the car with all the pipe work off it sounds like the bearings are very dry/noisy.

I also got a stethoscope on the turbo and with the engine running I can hear a very ruff noise not a smooth noise from a bearing.

Would like your feed back to confirm but I think my turbo is on its way out, the car is on 136k and engine still runs sweet as day 1.
