2002 Focus Ghia 1.8TDCi instrument cluster replacement

Featured Replies

Hello.

Firstly I am new to the forum and came across it while searching for information so hello :-)

I have a 2002 Focus 1.8TDCi Ghia (mk 1.5) and today my instrument cluster has completely stopped working. (rev counter, engine temp, speedo and fuel gauge) all the lights except for the engine management and coil light are working perfectly fine, the back light is also working. The car is running faultlessly.

I have checked the fuse and it appears fine but i changed it to be sure and still not working. I had the AA out and he said it is a garage job or I could get a new cluster from scrap but he thinks it will need programmed to my car. I don't care about the mileage being incorrect as to be fair by the time I get rid of the car it will be more than likely scrap anyway.

Does anyone know if the new cluster will need programmed or will it work right away with my immobilizer??

Thanks.
