Brake Servo/Vaccum Problem

Featured Replies

I've been told that either my brake servo or vaccum has gone. I just wanted to know if diesel versions of the mk2 Focus has a vaccum pump or its just on petrol versions that has vaccum pumps. Want to eliminate problems so I know whats wrong

I think they have a vacuum pump on the back of the alternator

what engine size?

I think some of the diesels have a vacuum pump on the end of the cylinder head (passenger side of car)

i don't know how easy it is to disconnect the vacuum pipe from the servo, but if you disconnect it with engine running is there sucking/vacuum at the end of the pipe?
