Running new front speaker cables

I've found a problem with my existing speaker cables, they all come on and off sporadically so I'm guessing I have a wiring problem. 

To get round it I was thinking of running two new cables just to the two front speakers and forgetting about the rear two as I dont want to pull the car to pieces tbh. Is it easy to drop a cable each side and run it along the footwell to each door? Also how are the front tweeters wired, are they connected directly from the two front door speakers?

    Just replaced my two front door speakers and yes the tweeters are connected directly to the main speakers.
