Press twice to open boot on remote?

Featured Replies

Hi for a 2004 focus c max 2.0 tdci ghia 6spd manual.

When I first got the car when I pressed unlock on the remote ALL the doors unlocked including the boot

About a year ago it "changed function" to work differently and much more oddly.

Unlock on the remote only unlocks the 4 doors

To unlock the boot I MUST press "boot unlock" TWICE

Can't press it once that does nothing

I must press it twice, and it must be the boot unlock button.

I just find this super annoying is there a way to change back to the "old" way of unlock Button unlocks everything including the boot?

Thanks in advance

not sure on your age of ford but on later fords you press both the lock and unlock buttons together until the hazards flash. that then changes the unlocking mode from all locks unlocking inc boot to just the front door unlocking on 1 press. do the same unlock/lock buttons pressed again until hazards flash and it reverts back.

could be worth a try to see if this procedure works for you.
