Ford Radio Question

Featured Replies

Hi all as title was thinking about upgrading my current focus head unit to the sony one from the titanium/st models.

Want to know would it be a simple plug and play as mine is not dab and not sure if the sony one is.

Any help would be much appreciated

i have got a 2009 (59 plate) focus mate.was just looking on e bay at the sony radios and they don't say they have got dab how would I know if they have or haven't?

Hi it should say on the front of the unit one thing to think about is the fact that you will need to upgrade the aerial

It will have this logo to the left of the volume dial-

I have a guide for fitting DAB Sony radios in the mk2/2.5 Focus in my guides link.

@tangodaz I assume that if it is not dab I will be able to keep my original aerial?

Yes that's right if you have a dab unit it will have two inputs for the aerials on for the normal and one for the dab
