Gear lever spring plastic holder

Featured Replies

Hi,

i had the issue with gear changes feeling loose and bought a gear lever spring as most said this would be the common issue.

as life isn't entirely fair, I've found it isn't the spring but the black plastic rod the spring attaches to. It has broken at the end, the spigot that goes in the hole to make it secure.

any ideas where I can source one from? I had no luck looking in ford spares.

not sure If this is also common

thanks

I guess this is rare, would love some assistance from you lovely people.

im sure the knowledge is out there :-)

Individual parts are very rare.
Tbh you're best off sourcing a full mechanism from a breakers or ebay.
If you PM me your VIN I'll price up a new part and then try to point you towards a compatible ebay part.
