The window seal on the nearside rear quarter light of my mk2.5 has decided it no longer wants to be connected to the car.. is this a part i can get from ford and if so is fittin a simple pull old one off and insert new one? Hoping i dont need to remove the glass!

These window seals are available as a spare part from Ford. Installation is quite easy. After removing the original one you have to clean and degrease the surface of the window with a suitible solvent. The new rubber has a self adhesive backing which makes the installation pretty straightforward.

Another option is to clean and degrease the surface of the window and seal with a suitible solvent and glueing it back in place with a suitible contact adhesive.
