Hi all, quite a random question i feel but does anyone know for sure. On the earlier model MK2 focus did the cabin illuminations that come in green have there part numbers start in 3M5? With the facelift MK2 with there orange illuminations 4M5? Or are the illuminations nothin to do with the difference in the start of these part numbers? Any help much appreciated. Part numbers that start with 3M5 or 4M5 do have green illumination.

Part numbers that start with 7M5 or 8M5 do have red illumination.

 

The first number of the part number prefix in rhis case stands for the Year that the part was introduced.

3 = 2003

4 = 2004

7 = 2007

8 = 2008

 

Be aware that not all MK2.5 parts are compatible with the MK2. The MK2.5 driver door window/mirror control panel for example has different connectors from the MK2 panel.
