Clutch noise Mondeo 2.0TDCi Titanium X (07)

Hi there. So i have not long had my 07 plate Mondeo 2.0TDCi Titanium X but have noticed that if ipress the clutch in slightly there is a whirring noise... once i have got to the bite point and passed that the noise stops. There is no noise either when i have my foot off the pedal only when i press it slightly. Any ideas? Also don't know if it is related but there is a slight judder in 2nd gear when i release the clutch. Cheers Mark
