2.0tdci dpf problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Whenever I boot it I get put into limp mode and eml comes on. Codes I get are p242f accumulation of ash and p2453 pressure sensor a.

Done a forced Regen on forscan and no change. Monitored pressure of dpf and it idled at 0.5-1.5psi and at 5k revs it only really goes up to 5-6psi. A decent pressure id have though? Atleast indicating the dpf isn't actually blocked?

Can't figure out what's wrong with it.. Any ideas? Maybe just a sensor? Anyone had any experience?

normaly its either the pressure sensor that is faulty or the pressure sensor rubber hoses at the dpf end have deterioated and broken up. worth checking the hoses first for cracks, splits etc
