Oem or sony head unit?

Featured Replies

Hi, can anyone tell me what the differences are and which is best , the standard OEM head unit or the Sony in a 2013 onwards fiesta.

Thx mark

Sony I believe gives better sound quality and looks better

Looks better is a matter of opinion. For me, the buttons are too small and finicky to operate. I also don't like the big multibutton, I just feel like I'd press the wrong one all the time.

Apparently it does have better sound quality, but I also believe Fiestas with sony head units also have different speakers. The screen is also different on the sony (a quick google will show you). If you already have a fiesta then it is pointless changing unless you want DAB or satnav.

However not sure if the top one is for sat nav only models. But every sony unit I have seen from factory has a screen like that (on the facelift).

Cheers.

Anyone know if the sony unit will plug and play with the standard blue on black display?

As above, can I use the blue display with the sony head unit /face (non sat nav)?
