SYNC 1 2012 bluetooth "waiting for phone authorisation"

Hello. Recently my LG G4 and other phones wont connect to my cars Bluetooth.

It successfully matches the PIN number but when I go to pair the LCD display says "waiting for phone authorisation" and wont move from there. Eventually it says failed to connect.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Yep I tried a master reset, it took a few minutes then said Master Reset Successful.

    How do you do a master reset on these headunits? I have the preface model, but struggling with bluetooth issues. Disconnected the battery but didn't resolve the issue

    Master reset usually refers to the sync procedure.

    How new is the phone you're trying to connect?

    Disconnecting the battery often helps. Otherwise try disconnecting the module in the footwell and reconnecting it.

    Since replacing the battery in my key fob the bluetooth has started working again.
