MK5 Alarm keeps going off.

Featured Replies

Ok so had the problem of my rear fog not working, so I opened my fuse box inside the car and tried putting a fuse into one of the empty fuse slots.

The alarm now keeps going off but the rear fog will work now.

Why is the alarm going off?/ How do I stop it?

If I disconnect the alarm in the rear of boot, the indictors still flash and ticking noise from indicators.

Why would the foglight fuse be empty in the first place? Sounds to me like you've just guessed where the fuse should go and slapped one in.

I take it when you take the fuse out the alarm stops?

The fog light fuse was obviously taken out by previous owner you numpty and yes I took the fuse back out to stop the alarm going off.

Problem fixed, key reprogrammed to central locking.
