Grand C Max 2011 electrical problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

Having some problems with my 2011 Grand C Max and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it based on experience? Much appreciated.

I was on holiday with my family driving the car when suddenly multiple warnings appeared on the dash with a loss of speedo and rev counter. The power remained so I drove the car back to our cottage where we were staying and basically it hasn't started since!

Symptoms:

Car wont crank or even try to. Errors 'bing' when you try to including 'engine malfunction service now' , some steering related error and parking distance error.

Lights work, windows work radio works.

Ambient temp say 242 degrees!

trip computed reads ---------

Car has been at a garage a number of days with suspected CANBUS issue, they currently believe it to be the body control module (BCM). I'm not questioning them at all but I was wondering if anyone here had experienced similar and what the cause and outcome were?

Thanks for reading.
