exhaust bracket..

Silly question but how wide is my exhaust pipe? One of my brackets have snapped off. I can get something like this off ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-6-Round-Exhaust-Back-Box-Silencer-Bracket-Hanger-Band-Repair-Strap-/281348322039?hash=item4181aab2f7:g:rDEAAOxyBPZThgvZ

But I'm not sure what size?!

I've got a Ford Focus 1.6 petrol 55 plate.

    The main width of the pipe is about two and half inch's I think so that looks way to big however you'll find not much difference in the cost of the fittings at Halfords although I've got a temporary support made up out of 4 lengths of  garden wire that I've twisted together to make a 10mm thick support which  got my Focus through it's recent MOT ..

    I fixed mine with an old jubilee pipe clamp I found lying round my garage.

    Once on tight, I smothered it with high melting point grease.
