All back up and working again :) Really pleased, knew the water pump was not long for giving up, pleased is an understatement :)

Boost leak we think is fixes, we found some oil residue on a junction between a rubber and plastic pipe held together with a jubilee clip so assume it was coming from there, all been cleaned up new clip on and tightened down, leak noise gone now but sure I heard a little squeal still on test drive, time will tell on that one.

I do have some slight DMF noise however which I had already diagnosed myself, annoying as it is an ex police car that has had a clutch within the last 20k so why they did not do the DMF at the same time is a mystery, probably the same reason they did not do the water pump whilst doing the major B service...................

MOT now 1st week of October, mechanic gave it a pre-mot today, worn bush in one of the bottom arms so will pick up a new complete arm save faffing with presses and bush drivers apart from that should be good to go, today is a good day :)

chris did you have any sort of signs the water pump was ready to go or did it just give up?

It was diagnosed before I bought the car, I did notice the pulley appeared to be loose and the inner square bit did turn out to be loose, there was some pulley noise that was noticeable.
