OBD2 cable and software for laptop use

Featured Replies

I now have a March 2004 Focus 1.8 tdci 100ps to look after for the wife. I have had Audi and Skoda diesels for many years and have the VagCom interface and software, it has had a name change in the last year or so to VCDS.

This VagCom software is brilliant and does What the dealers software does and more, so its able to code units and advanced diagnostic too most of the car systems. It is more than an engine code reader.

What I would like to know is there a similar item for Ford than I can use with a laptop. Have looked on eBay and found ELM 327 interfaces but from what I have read they don't seem to have the features of VagCom.

Any interface that runs on windows 7 would be a bonus. Also if it was able to flash the ECU for Chip tuning or am I asking too much?

Any suggestions?
