Help needed

Hi, I'm looking for some Help, I've got a 2007 focus 1.6 petrol, and it's recently started making a whining noise all the time which gets louder when turning corners, and my steering went really stiff, so naturally I thought power steering so I emptied out the old stuff in the power steering reservoir and put new stuff in, which worked for about half a day, the steering went a lot lighter and the noise had near enough gone, but now the noise is back all the time and the steering gone stiff again, anyone know what this could be??

Sounds like you're about to be the next victim of the power steering failure on the 1.6 petrol.
