Speaker problem Focus 2012 titanium

Featured Replies

My speakers keep cutting out and music then only plays through center speaker. My car is a 2012 titanium focus with the Sony audio system. Any thoughts? This happens with radio, Bluetooth and aux.

If more than 1 speaker cuts out simultaniously the problem will most likely be caused by a defective amplifier.

On the 9-speaker Sony system the amplifier is fully integrated into the ACM (Audio Control Module).
The 10-speaker Sony system has a different type of ACM with an external 10-channel DSP amplifier.

To solve the problem the defective parts needs to be repaired. There are lots of specialized company's who offer these kind of repairs. However in case of the 9-speaker system repacing the ACM for a used one (from Ebay or a local scrap yard for example) will probably be cheaper.
