Hello, I've just joined up as I'm about to nose into the world of modding. My wallet's telling me no, of course. The questions begin.

I've been looking for LED replacements for my interior roof light. Can find maybe one example of the 265 44mm festoon bulb on the entire freaking internet, but plenty of 264 42mm's. Will they, by any chance, fit the 265 socket?

    Sorry for the bump, just adding if anyone knows of any decent source of LED 265's I'd just as happily take a link. Not really looking for goofy colours - warm or cool white are what I'm after.

    You should be able to bend the contacts inwards slightly to allow the 42mm bulb to fit. There are lots of 44mm bulbs on eBay and lots of 42-44cm bulbs on Amazon. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/370953256418

    Autobeam is also a good company to get LED bulbs from. There a little more compared to eBay ones but they are better quality and have heard their premium bulbs are bright.

    Thanks guys. Just ordered a 44mm from Ebay. Xenon white, not exactly the colour I wanted, but the Mk6 seems to be quite unique in its interior light fitting as there's bugger all about. Should be better when I get my 7.5.
