TomsFocus
As title, it hit the floor as I removed cambelt covers on the mk2.5 1.6tdci focus. Can't find where it came from and everything works fine still...any ideas? Socket for scale.
Russ
Wouldn’t be an old cover bolt from a previous owner of the car going to do the belt and giving up after snapping the head off it? (Never seen a belt being done so no idea what the cover bolts look like ...... but I will tomorrow!)
TomsFocus
Good idea but the cover bolts are a lot shorter on this. I bought it on 46k/6 years old so I doubt anyone would've been there before tbh, all the plastic wiring clips were all still intact as well. As far as I can tell it had only had oil changes, tyres and a warranty battery before I got it. It may not even have been from the covers area, that's just when I heard it drop and saw it on the floor under the crank pulley.
GMX
That's looks like the right hand engine mount stud, but it's a bit small for a Focus HT1 on here https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/47/2.5145,6.44639,7.32687/0/1689/16139/70525/
TomsFocus
Ah yeah, again a good idea but not that either. Those studs take an 18mm nut on the Mk2 focus so considerably larger than this one.
