1.0 ecoboost flywheel locking tool

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I'm looking for a flywheel locking tool for the 1.0 ecoboost don't fancy doing the screw driver trick!!

Can someone please let me know what they use to lock the flywheel in place so that I can remove the bottom pulley bolt

Thanks Steve

You can usually get away with an appropriately sized drill bit can't you?

Too late mate it's gone in the bin sorry.

Looks like it's a head gasket fault getting the head pressure tested in the morning

Thanks Steve

So you've fabricated a tool to lock the flywheel to remove the head but then throw it in the bin?..

That puzzled me too. Surely he'll need it for reassembly?

and wouldn't you always keep it in case you need it on another car at a later date

I would.
