Really high clutch biting point...

I've heard that a really high biting point normally means the clutch is on its way out and you'd need a new one. Is this always the case or could it be something else? Nothing major at the moment but it's always worth knowing for future

HI Adam,

I'm having a similar issue with my 2008 Focus. After lots of searching, it seems relatively common that older fords have quite a high biting point in comparison to other brands.

It's probably worth doing some clutch testing (search this on YouTube and there are plenty of videos) - Which should probably be able to indicate wear on the clutch.

Hope this helps!
