Front clunking noise

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a Ford Focus mk3 2011 1.6 titanium 5 door hatch, when I driving on normal roads the car is perfectly fine, but when I go over a speed bump the car clunks from the front I think it's coming from the passenger side.

Has anybody idea what this could be?

Thank you

Sounds like a part of the suspension is worn. Could be strut mount, ball joint, drop link, track rod end. If your not sure what to look for, a garage would tell you in seconds.

Same as my old car, turned out to be a broken spring.

I'd get it looked at asap, I had a ball joint fail on me on my mark 5 Cortina and I got off lightly. The front left collapsed and left me stranded. Such a failure can cause body damage, but like I said, I got off lightly as the wing etc wasn't harmed.
